Interactive Brokers (Auto-Sync)
We use IBKR Flex Queries for secure, read-only access. This setup allows OpenTrades to automatically pull your trade history every night (or on demand) without manual uploads.
Step 1: Generate Flex Token
- Log in to your Interactive Brokers account portal.
- Navigate to Performance & Reports > Flex Queries.
- Click the Gear Icon ⚙️ next to "Flex Web Service Configuration".
- Check Flex Web Service Status to enable it.
- Set Expiration to 1 Year (Maximum allowed).
- Click Generate New Token. Copy this token immediately.
Step 2: Create Activity Query
- Back on the Flex Queries page, click the (+) next to "Activity Flex Query".
- Name the query:
OpenTrades - Under Sections, click "Trade Confirmation".
- In the popup, ensure Executions is checked. Click "Select All" at the bottom to be safe.
Critical Configuration
Format: CSV
Date Format: yyyyMMdd
Time Format: HHmmss
Separator: Semi-colon (;)
Step 3: Connect
Navigate to OpenTrades Settings > Accounts. Click "Add Connection" and select Auto-Sync.
- Paste your Flex Token.
- Paste the Query ID (found next to the query name you just created in IBKR).
- Click Connect.
