Replay Room
The Replay Room (Weekend Warrior) allows you to relive historical market sessions tick-by-tick. It is powered by the Ghost Engine™, which overlays verified trade executions from top traders onto the chart.
The Ghost Engine™
Instead of guessing where the "smart money" entered, see exactly where profitable traders pulled the trigger.
- Ghost Trades: Blue markers representing entries/exits of verified users.
- Visual Learning: Compare your simulated entry vs. the actual entry of a Leaderboard trader.
- Privacy: All Ghost data is anonymized unless the user has a Public Profile.
Replay Controls
We utilize institutional-grade 1-minute feeds from Polygon.io.
Weekend Warrior: The Complete User Guide
Weekend Warrior is OpenTrades' advanced market simulator, powered by the proprietary Ghost Engine™. Unlike standard paper trading, this module allows you to replay historical market sessions while overlaying the actual trade executions of top-performing traders from our database. This tool is designed for "deliberate practice"—allowing you to study not just how price moved, but how profitable traders reacted to that movement in real-time.
1. The Ghost Engine™ Concept
The core of the Weekend Warrior experience is the Ghost Engine™. When you load a historical session, the system retrieves verified trade data from that specific day and overlays it onto your chart.
- Ghost Trades: These are blue execution markers representing the entries and exits of verified users.
- Visual Learning: Instead of guessing where the "smart money" entered, you can see exactly where profitable traders pulled the trigger.
- Verified Data: All "Ghost" data is sourced from actual, verified brokerage accounts linked to OpenTrades.
2. Session Configuration
To begin a simulation, navigate to the Weekend Warrior hub. You will need to configure the parameters of your replay session.
Launch Parameters
- Target Symbol: Enter the ticker symbol you wish to practice (e.g., NVDA, SPY, TSLA). Note: Ensure the symbol was active and liquid on the date you select.
- Replay Date: Select the specific historical date you wish to replay. Strategic Tip: Choose a date with known high volatility or a major news event to test your reaction time.
- Launch: Click LAUNCH SIMULATION to initialize the replay room.
Simulation Mode: Competitive
Currently, the system defaults to Competitive Mode.
- • Winners Only: To reduce noise, the engine filters the dataset to display only winning trades. You will not be distracted by losing setups; you are studying success.
- • Leaderboard Integration: The "Ghosts" you see are drawn from top traders on the OpenTrades leaderboard.
3. The Replay Environment
Once the simulation launches, you enter the Replay Room (a specialized version of the charting interface).
Market Data Specs
- Data Source: We utilize institutional-grade feeds from Polygon.io.
- Resolution: The replay runs on 1-Minute (1m) Bars, providing granular detail for day trading strategies.
- Playback Control: You can pause, play, and scrub through the trading day.
How to Practice
- Blind Replay: Start the replay at the market open (9:30 AM ET) without looking at the end-of-day chart.
- Predict & Confirm: Pause at a setup. Make your prediction. Then, play forward to see if the price moved in your favor and if any "Ghosts" took the same trade.
- Gap Analysis: If you see a cluster of Ghost entries you missed, pause and analyze the chart structure.
4. System Status & Integrity
- Beta Status: Weekend Warrior is currently in BETA. We are continuously refining the Ghost algorithm to ensure the most relevant trade data is displayed.
-
Ghost Engine™ Active: Look for the status indicator in the top right corner.
- Active: The engine has successfully loaded historical trade data for this ticker/date combination.
- Inactive: No verified trades were found for this specific session (you can still replay price action, but without Ghosts).
